    Excellent service Excellent food. Value for money!? It's quality food I appreciate that but the 12% service charge was a surprise. It's did push up our meal price up for 4 people to £340.00 and we didn't have a starter. Adequate drinks including a bottle of wine costing £60.00. I think your £20-30 is crossly misleading. I wish we could afford to come more often but in this economic climate i very much doubt that will be possible.

    As always, a beautiful roast dinner. Service is wonderful, staff are friendly, warm atmosphere and, more importantly, amazing food. I will always recommend The Rising Sun as one of my favourite places to go for food. Thank you for a lovely meal.

    I have been to the Rising Sun multiple times for drinks but last week finally we went there for a date night. We had a lovely seating. The service was outstanding. But the highlight was the food. It started with the outstanding parmesan and chorizo bread rolls which were so delicious. We then ordered the scallops for starters - which was fresh, and delicious. For mains, we had the duck and 10-hr lamb. Both were outstanding but we were in love with the lamb. For dessert, we went with the trifle. Each dish was delicious. We had tried multiple times to book a Sunday roast here but for our lack of prior planning, we thought a dinner would be a good idea and we were absolutely right!!
