2.0a month agoCame to Toby carvery to be told not taking any walk ins so I went on line and booked a table for 40 mins time. Place is very under staffed and the staff are overworked. Nowt like trying to reap all the money in, and not paying owt out. Place was a total state plates all over with food on and glasses all over the bar. Maybe if you employ more staff, they could accommodate for more people and maybe clean the place up.

1.0a week agoTook my daughter for breakfast for the first time kids eat for £1 deal. Arrived to a grumpy lady behind the till who charged me for two adults. When I asked she said I needed the app. (This information would have helped beforehand). I ordered vegetarian sausage on arrival as advised which never arrived the whole hour we were there waiting. When asked and told her to forget it as we’d already eaten the scraps that were left on the buffet. When we approached the buffet I asked the man serving if there were any beans or mushrooms which he replied no they didn’t. So a full English turned out to be tinned tomato’s, hash browns which were stale , half a fried egg that was left and a Yorkshire pudding. We weren’t the only ones to be disappointed as I chatted to the table next to us. When I complained about the sausages not arriving and no beans or mushrooms the woman made no attempt to rectify the situation and carried on about her day with her miserable face. Absolutely appalling customer service. I won’t be returning here!

5.03 weeks agoLuckily we had booked a table as they were heaving. Drinks took a little while but they were very busy and the server was really friendly and attentive. The carvery was the best we've had in a long time. I had gammon and beef, which I'm usually a bit reluctant to try as it can be quite tough, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find it was tender and juicy. Plus we had a voucher for kids' meals for £1 so it was a win-win all round.
