Very convenient at Ainley top, good carvery, lots of other choices, cheaper Monday to Friday. It's easy to book a table online. But you can just turn up. There are always plenty of people in, such a good atmosphere. The service from the staff is excellent. The Bar has every drink you could ask for. Plenty of parking and 12 disabled bays next to the pub. Outside eating available. Excellent toilets. Worth a visit if you're passing by on the M62 and need a break!

The staff were more than accommodating to our autistic shenanigans. They put ice cream on our cake to go and got us an entirely new slice so they could put it separately (preventing melting). Then upon getting roasts to go, our box was so full it warranted duct tape. They also provided three Yorkshire puddings and gravy, meaning for roughly £10 this was our haul (utilising rewards offers and Too Good to Go). We also got a mystery prize and stamp towards more money off for using the app! Thank you to all the staff here, none of you get paid enough to deal with our nonsense. Our only note is a small plea to introduce disposable cutlery, as we had to share a teaspoon to eat it.

The food is always good value. It was Mother’s Day to be fair. But getting wait staff for drinks was a challenge and the queue for food was crazy. MIL being in her 80s and frail, I should have picked somewhere else. It is probably better for younger families. Will say, tables are too close together. Makes getting in and out a challenge. Lively vibe.
