A British institution. Meats were traditionally roasted in front of a fire on a Sunday, dating back to the reign of King Henry VII. Since the 15th century, the royal bodyguards have been known as ‘Beefeaters’ because of their love of eating roast beef. In the 18th century the French started calling Englishmen ‘rosbifs’. Therefore it is only fitting that ‘rosbif ’ is the centrepiece of Hotel du Vin's perfect Sunday lunch. The roasts are served with all the trimmings, including proper Yorkshires

    I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel DuVin and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with such warmth and hospitality. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, offering a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and incredibly cozy, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. What truly set this stay apart was the exceptional service I received from Kalpana who went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, always with a smile and eager to assist with any requests. Whether it was offering local recommendations, ensuring my room was always pristine, or simply providing a welcoming presence, She made me feel right at home, such an asset. It's rare to experience service so genuine and thoughtful, and I truly appreciate the care and attention to detail that Kalpana provided. I will absolutely be recommending this hotel to everyone.

    Had a really lovely stay at Hotel du Vin in Cambridge. The hotel has a great atmosphere, comfortable rooms, and is in a perfect location for exploring the city. The staff were all friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. A special thank you to Kai and Kalpana for their warm welcome and excellent service throughout the stay. They were both professional, kind, and made everything feel effortless. Thanks again to the whole team – I’d definitely come back!

    Really nice hotel (bit of a maze) in an old building. We stayed in the Robert Dovani room in the attic which is a fabulous spacious comfy room (but doesn’t have a view - not that it bothered us). Bathroom radiators were in full bkast when we checked in a room was boiling … but staff sorted it straight away. Cosy bar in tbe basement with a very chatty Spanish barman. The hotel is centrally located but they do not have their own parking facility and the nearby public car parks are extremely expensive (which is a massive turn off IMO).
