    I stayed here for one night with a large family group to attend the Murder 57 evening! We had a wonderful time. The Hotel staff allowed use to come into the lounge early, before checking in time. The staff were helpful and very friendly and made time for us. A member of staff walked with our elderly relative and made sure the room was ok for him. The evening meal was excellent. We had a few dietary requirements and they were all met, without exception. Very impressed with this attention to detail. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was excellent. The Murder mystery was great fun and combined with the excellent food and service, and beautiful surroundings of the hotel, our family enjoyed a memorable time together.

    This hotel is in the most amazing location. The grounds are beyond beautiful. Very tranquil and peaceful. Yes the rooms are dated and in need of renovation, but it’s forgiven due to the excellent service from staff and the delicious food. Our experience in the restaurant was second to none. The manager, Jack, was exceptional. Friendly and relaxed. We witnessed him deal with other difficult guests with ease and professionalism. Service in the bar was also warm and efficient. We’d definitely recommend this hotel for a peaceful trip away and a masterclass in good service.

    Great hotel that is situated in a quiet area half an hour from central Bristol. The hotels been built around an old country home that does need a bit of paint and a few bits of furniture replaced, my extractor fan in the bathroom was like a helicopter trying to take off. Id revisit though as the staff and the main area of the hotel are great, food is expensive but ok and see the photo for the new menu. Breakfast is well worth it and one of the better ones on offer for a hotel.
